International Women's Day

Updated: Mar 8, 2021

This year, one of the themes for International Women’s day is to celebrate the work of women creatives.

That’s not hard to do, as Lynden Players is lucky to count a whole host of creative women amongst its past and present members. Actors, singers, dancers, musicians, producers, directors, writers, artists, set builders, technicians, prop-makers, dressmakers, hair and makeup artists, graphic designers, to name just a few. Today we salute all the creative women who have shared their many talents with us over the years.

Our founder member, Pat Rix is still very active in the society- regularly popping in to rehearsals, volunteering for front of house and maintaining our extensive archives. She recently appeared on stage in Drinking with Angelika (2017). Since establishing the society in 1975, Pat has been a driving force, involved in all aspects of the creative process, particularly as actor, director, writer and chairman.

Pat- we raise our hats, crowns, helmets and wigs to you and celebrate you on #IWD2021
